Whilst underway, during the approach and in the process of double banking, or whilst transferring cargo whilst underway, the following signals from the IMO's Collision Regulations shall be displayed (unless local regulations differ) by both ships:

No special signals required.
Signals for a vessel not under command.
Signals for vessels restricted in their ability to manoeuvre.
Signals for vessels towing.
