How do we recognize a leaking fuel injector during testing?

Fuel oil leaks out all over the place
The valve does not open at set pressure
If a sudden drop in pressure appears after the valve is supposed to be closed, this is caused by a leak
The valve opens before set pressure

When overhauling the cylinder covers on a modern 4-stroke engine, is it important not to interchange inlet and exhaust valves?

Can be changed if same size.
Important due to different type size valve guide.
Not so important.
Important due to different material and working conditions.

Is it recommended to adjust the spring tension on the fuel valves during operation to achieve:

Exhaust temperatures in line (equal temperatures).
Not recommended at all.
Equal cylinder pressures.
To improve the fuel atomizing.

What does atomizing mean when we talk about injectors?

That no solid beam of fuel shall be present
The injector is extremely hard to open
Very high fuel oil pressure out of nozzle
The fuel injector is leaking

Some engine makers use a copper casket for proper sealing between fuel injector valve, cylinder head and combustion chamber. Why is it so important to use the correct one?

To keep the valve in correct position only.
For proper sealing function.
To keep the valve in correct position and to maintain proper sealing.
To avoid combustion gas to overheat the valve.

Why do we have to make sure that the plate pack is compressed to the right measurement A, after insertion of plates?

To avoid leakages.
This is not important.
To prevent serious damages to the plates.
Should be compressed more every time after opening.

When testing a overhauled fuel valve, the test pump is to be operated as follows:

Of no importance.
Pushed slowly and use the finger tip to detect the accurately correct opening pressure.
Pushed gradually so the opening point can easily be detected.
Pushed by sufficient force to accurately check the correct adjusting pressure.

Why is it important to slow down the main engine RPM while water-washing the turbocharger?

To protect the exhaustgas economizer.
To protect the blower side.
To protect the bearings.
Not to damage the rotor blades.

Most of the engine makers recommend to change the cylinder head gaskets each time a piston overhaul is carried out. Why?

To be granted a proper sealing with a new gasket.
To avoid heat transfer to the cylinder head.
To obtain a proper sealing and correct distance between piston and cover in TDC position.
To increase the consumption of parts so they can make more money.

What will You do if the plate exchanger leaks after cleaning and is back in service. (The measurement A is tightened to minimum measurement.)

Reduce the pressure.
Tighten more.
Dismantle the exchanger and check or renew the rubber packings.
Close the valves.
