The College is one of 54 national colleges of technology. The department of maritime technology provides a 5.5-year course. The other two departments provide five-year courses. The college is authorized for certificate of competency and students can get 1st and 2nd grade ship officer's certificates (navigation & engine), necessary bridge & engine watchkeeping certificates.
