Ecole Navale – French Naval Academy
General Information
French Naval Academy is in charge of teaching navigation and manoeuvre to officers and petty officers in the French navy, and also to other government officers. Moreover, some short courses are built for civilian students. The means include simulators, training ships and boats. The scientific field is supported by a maritime dedicated laboratory. Full course for officers is included in a combined academic and professional four years period about human management, sciences, maritime knowledge and ten weeks of seamanship practice, completed by a five months professional mission around the world onboard a French Navy mistral type ship.
