General Information
The College was founded in 1891 and it has over 5,000 graduates. It educates skippers for fishing vessels, coastal 200 GRT (1 year), and deep sea (2 years), master for merchant vessels (3 years), commanders for inspection vessels of the Icelandic Coast Guard (4 years). GMDSS and ARPA courses are also offered at the College.
