It was established as a joint venture by FESCO and NORCONTROL A.S. in June 1992. The main purposes of NORFES Co. are the following projects: Unified Vessel Traffic System in Peter the Great Bay, Sea Area I of Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS), and Port State Control Centre Under Tokyo Memorandum of Understanding.
