IMO International Maritime Law Institute (IMLI)
General Information
The Institute was established in 1989 under the auspices of IMO as a unique international centre of excellence catering for the needs of developing States in the field of international maritime law. It offers an advanced course at post graduate level leading to the degree of Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Maritime Law. The duration of the course is one academic year and it is open to candidates holding a degree in law with a high standing from a recognized university. There are now over 180 graduates from 79 countries worldwide.
