General Information
Dalian Maritime University( DMU), located in the southwest part of the coastal city of Dalian in Northeast China, has a total area of 865,000 square meters, of whichthe floor space is 440,000 square meters. Currently the number of undergraduate andgraduate students has increased to nearly 10,600. It is equipped with various modernteaching and research facilities and 3 vessels of 10,000 tonnage each to facilitateteaching and training.DMU, the sole key university under the administration of the Ministry of Communications, is a renowned higher learning institution of navigation in the Peoples Republic of China, and one of the few institutions of maritime education acknowledged by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) to enjoy an international prestige. DMU has developed a set of comprehensive educational and research mechanisms, with the navigation and marine transportation related disciplines as the mainstay.
